Learn More Than Spanish in Colombia
Welcome to Learn More Than Spanish where we are so much more than just a Spanish school. Our high class Spanish school allows students to learn practical and useful Spanish while providing a full range of rural and city experiences.
Two Beautiful Settings
Our City Setting in Ibagué, Tolima gives our students the ability to experience city living in Colombia. With Bogotá only three hours away and a milder climate Ibagué is big enough to have everything our students need while not suffering the stress and strains of a large city.
Our Rural Setting is based in the historic and picturesque town of Salamina, Caldas. Only two hours from Medellin, Salamina is a beautiful example of rural Colombia with stunning scenery only minutes away.
We encourage our students to spend some time in both locations as this gives them a great mix of city and rural living.
Range of Programs
We offer Group and One-to-One Spanish classes with a local experienced teacher. Our students take classes in the morning leaving them free to take one of our extra activities in the afternoon.
You can volunteer with a local grassroots NGO helping disadvantaged children, woman in need and the elderly. We offer the chance to gain a better understanding of the unique Colombian culture with classes in Colombian Dance, Music and Cooking. Students can also attend our Golf Clinic or Horse Riding Academy.
Supporting local charities
We donate over half of our profits to support locally run charities in the two locations we are based. This means our students know they are helping the communities and local people they are interacting with in a very real and sustainable way.
Local People
Learn More Than Spanish has been setup by local people. We employ local staff and pay them a fair salary. This helps to ensure a high standard at all times for our students as well as providing happy and motivated instructors.
All of this, we believe, makes us a perfect starting place for exploring the rest of this amazing continent and language.
