In the classes students learn the techniques and songs of Colombia, the many different rhythms used in Colombian music and the strumming patterns. They study the different styles of "Vallenato", "San Juanero", "Bambuco", "Pasillo" as well as Rock Suave (Smooth Rock). While also discovering the groups and artists that are legends in Colombia and Latin America such as "Juanes", "Carlos Vives", "Maná", "Caifanes", "Fitopaez" and Andrés Calamaro.

I knew a bit of guitar before coming but I learnt a lot from Jaime and left with an appreciation for a whole range of new music.

I thought I'd give the Guitar course a go and I wanted to learn some of the songs I had been hearing on the radio. I had been traveling for 6 months and so I didn't have a guitar but the teacher was able to lend me one for the one time I was there.
