Greeting Services

Most of our students arrive in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia. Home to over 7 million people it can be tough to get your head around. Luckily our greeting services have been designed to take the stress and hassle out of arriving. These services help students to get money, explains the use of public transport and anything else you may need or want to know.

Bogotá Airport Meeting Service

Our Airport Greeting service meets students at any hour of the day. When you step out of the doors at the airport our greeter will be waiting for you with your name on a sign and a welcoming smile.

If you are arriving at night our greeter will then take you to your hostel or hotel. Please let us know in advance if you would like us to make a reservation for you otherwise you are free to make your own arrangements.

We recommend Hostel Cafecito Bogotá as an great option for your first night in Colombia.

Bogotá Half Day Tour

We also offer our students a half day tour of the city of Bogotá. The city has a many things to do including Museums, Parks and Markets. Also most essential is a trip to Monserrate the monastery sitting high above the city and visible from almost everywhere. The view is spectacular and really gives you an idea of the size of the city.

If you have any specific things you would like to see please mention them to our guide so they can include them into the tour.

Finally our guide will put you on a bus so you can take the three hour journey to Ibagué where the school is based. You will then be met in Ibagué at the bus terminal and taken to your prearranged accommodation.

I was a bit nervous about arriving in Bogotá. I come from a small town in Austria and the thought of arriving in a huge crowded city seemed daunting. When I saw the card with my name on it I felt a sigh of relief.

I arrived at 9pm and so I asked if the school could arrange somewhere for me to stay the night before having my tour the next day. They said it was no problem and they booked a great little hostel near the centre. They then picked me, and another student from the school I had met at breakfast, up the next day for the tour.

It was really interesting to see Bogotá through the eyes of a local person. It is enormous but thanks to Carlos we had a great day before I travelled to Ibagué to start my course.
